Parent-Child Programme
Age group: 18 months – 2 ½ years
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Timings: 10am-12pm
Popularly known worldwide as Montessori Playgroups, this programme aims to provide the vital tools and valuable time for parent and child to work together, under the guidance of a trained facilitator, to aid in meeting the needs of this industrious and rewarding stage of development in the child. (This programme is currently on hold)
Casa
Age group: 2 ½ years – 6 years
Days: Monday – Friday
Timings: 9am – 12pm (2 ½ – 3½ years)
9am – 2.30pm (3½ years – 6 years)
A mixed-age group environment of children between the ages of 3 years to 6 years working with scientifically and aesthetically designed Montessori material under the guidance of a trained Montessori Primary facilitator.
The three agents – the prepared environment, the material and the facilitator – aid in setting the child on a journey to prepare for life, true to the Montessori philosophy of ‘aiding and setting free’.
The child is helped to become physically independent with the help of Exercises of Practical Life. To address the child’s need to become conscious of the world around him; to enrich his vocabulary and to satisfy the awakening of the mathematical mind – Sensorial, Arithmetic, Language, Culture, Art and Music are offered to the child in the Casa.
Elementary
Age group: 6 years – 12 years
Days: Monday – Friday
Timings: 9am – 2.30pm
As the child moves to the second plane of development of life, he is given the keys to the universe to help him/her to satisfy his characteristic imagination and the need to satisfy his/her reasoning mind.
The Montessori Elementary trained facilitator provides the spark that kindles his/her journey of self-learning to become intellectually independent.
Specially designed Montessori materials and the different areas of work – Language, Arithmetic, Geometry, History, Geography, Biology, Art and Music – are intrinsically connected providing an integrated approach called Cosmic Education.
This specially prepared environment is conducive for the child to work in groups with a high sense of gratitude, morality, hero worship and leadership qualities – traits to help him build himself to become a member of the society in the future.
